The program calculates the estimated tax burden based on income and filing status. It is useful from an educational viewpoint as well as being a quick estimation of taxes due without all the details such as number of dependents, standard deductions etc. coming into play. The tax table data is adjustable so this app will never go out of date regardless of the tax year and marginal rates.
